Residency Programme

Conceptualized as a dynamic knowledge-exchange and experimentation platform that nurtures creative problem-solving, research, and practical action at the intersection of environmental sustainability and socio-economic development. Through short- to medium-term residencies, participants will be embedded within relevant communities, innovation hubs, and circular economy ecosystems to develop context-specific solutions that address real-world challenges.

Each residency cycle will feature a distinct theme, guided by pressing issues such as climate action, resource efficiency, green innovation, circular economy, and cultural continuity. Participants will benefit from access to technical expertise, mentorship, and facilities provided by FREEE and its partners, creating a vibrant environment for ideation, prototyping, and implementation.

By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and hands-on experimentation, the FREEE Residency Program will contribute to building resilient communities, promoting eco-conscious thinking, and shaping a new generation of leaders equipped to drive sustainable transformation in Africa.
